The Eagle House<\/a> (5578 Main St, Williamsville)<\/strong> makes much of its 194-year history. Highlights include serving as a former wagon and passenger coach \u201cstopping point,\u201d during the pre-automobile era of the mid- to late-1800s. With dramatic events including the very first building burning down before its official opening, they now keep the fire burning only in the cozy fireplace. While you warm up, enjoy hearty food and a welcoming atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The 31 Club <\/a>(31 Johnson Park)<\/strong> is a gorgeously renovated former supper club. It boasts a large bar, a lovely dining room and a nicely outfitted second floor. And, burning brightly in a smaller dining room to the right of the entryway is a fireplace. If you make a reservation, request seating there. Or if you just happen by, you might get lucky and be able to enjoy a meal, a snack and\/or a sip as you get toasty.<\/span><\/p>\n

The large tasting room at the Hamburg Brewing Company<\/a> (6553 Boston State Rd, Hamburg)<\/strong> with its combo lodge- and sports-themed d\u00e9cor entices guests. It\u2019s a casual atmosphere in which to enjoy the eponymous brews. Everything centers around a huge wood-burning fireplace (signage asks guests to \u201cnot tend the fire\u201d). You can sit upon cushions hearthside, or gather with your party at nearby wooden table. Seating is first come first served.<\/span><\/p>\n
