She created the role of Zita in\u00a0Giacomo Puccini&#8217;s\u00a0Gianni Schicchi\u00a0at the\u00a0Metropolitan Opera\u00a0in 1918 and was also memorable as Amelia, the wife of\u00a0W.C.
